SC-Research in the first ISPIM Innovation Symposium.
The first ISPIM (International Society for Professional Innovation Management) Innovation Symposium - Managing Innovation in a Connected World - was organized in Singapore on 14-17 December 2008 together with Singapore Management University (SMU) and The Product Development and Management Association (PDMA). The aim of Symposium was to stimulate discussion between academics, business leaders, consultants and other professional involved in innovation management. The Symposium hosted more than 100 academic and practitioner presentations together with interactive workshops and discussion panels. The best paper awards was given to Swedish research team: Ashkan Pouya (Mälardalen University, Sweden) and Saeid Esmaeilzadeh (Stockholm University): ’The Phantom Innovation – a launching pad for innovation processes’, and to the South-Korean team: Junseouk Hwang, Eungdo Kim and Seunghyn Kim (Seoul National University): ’Factors affecting Open Technological Innovation in OSS companies in Korea’.
SCR participated Symposium by presenting two papers: Pirjo Yli-Viitala & Jari Kuusisto: ’Collaborative R&D between service provider and client firms´ and Juha Vänskä & Jari Kuusisto: ’Service Productivity Challenges: an analysis of three business service sectors’.
Other distinguished speakers include Mrs. Teng Soon Lang, Executive Vice President and Head of the Group Quality & Process Innovation Division (OCBC Bank Group); Dr. Johan de Heer (Thales Group); Mr. Erik Goedhart, Vice President Global Business Development Aerospace (Kuehne+Nagel); Mr. Bruce Burton (CEO Strategyn Asia Pacific); and Prof. Mark Dodgson, Director of the Technology and Innovation Management Centre (University of Queensland Business School).
