Dr Selina Liang attended The 2014 Academy of Management Annual Meeting
Dr Selina Liang from University of Vaasa attended the 74th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management held in August 1-5, 2014, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. This premier conference was attended by more than 10,000 students, academics, scholars, and professionals in the scholarly management and organization space. The program theme of this years conference is The Power of Words, which encourages participants to consider the effect of words – our words and others’ – on individuals, teams, organisations, nations or even global systems (www.aom.org/annualmeeting).
Dr Liang presented a joint paper with Dr Jun Li titled "Sequential Attention during Institutional change: a Behavioral Interpretation". In addition, she participated in a series of workshops concerning business model innovation, multilevel innovation networks, strategic entrepreneurship and industry evolution where she discussed some research findings from SC-Research's NOMAD project (funded by Tekes) with leading scholars in these relevant fields.
